Sign Up to be on New COM Supply List
Dear Friends in Ministry,
Grace and peace to you from the Commission on Ministry (COM)!
We are excited to share a new initiative that will enhance how the Presbytery of the James supports congregations during times of transition: the creation of a comprehensive supply list.
This resource will offer churches a centralized, “approved” directory of individuals available to provide temporary leadership and support, including:
- Pulpit Supply Preachers (occasional worship leadership)
- Bridge Pastors (short-term continuity)
- Interim Pastors (longer-term transitional guidance)
- Session Moderators
- Trainers for Sessions and PNCs
- Officiants for Weddings and Funerals
- Retreat and Workshop Leaders
Before this resource is made available to congregations, we are opening a sign-up period for ministers, Commissioned Ruling Elders (CREs), Certified Christian Educators, and others who meet the requirements outlined in the accompanying guidelines.

Submissions will be reviewed and approved by COM to ensure the integrity of the list. We’re committed to offering churches a trusted network of leaders who are grounded in the life of our presbytery and prepared to serve faithfully.
This list reflects our ongoing commitment to care for one another, especially during times of transition and discernment. Your willingness to share your gifts through this ministry is deeply appreciated and makes a meaningful difference in the life of the church.
