Presbytery Leadership Changing Due to Dennis Family Relocation

A change in the leadership of Presbytery of the James is occurring Monday due to the current moderator's impending move out of the area.

Patrick Dennis, 2021 presbytery moderator and pastor of Tuckahoe Church in Richmond, is moving with his wife, Sarah, and family to Texas. Sarah, covenant pastor at Tuckahoe, has accepted a position in a validated ministry as director of Student Ministries at University United Methodist Church in San Antonio. Following their relocation, Sarah and Patrick will transfer to Mission Presbytery. Their final Sunday at Tuckahoe is October 3.

Vice-moderator Dan Jordanger, a ruling elder at Providence Church (Gum Spring) and an attorney in Richmond, assumes the role of presbytery moderator effective October 4. He will be installed at the 109th stated presbytery meeting on October 16 and will serve through 2022.
