We are deeply grateful for all that we have been able to do and to be through you, especially during a pandemic. Our congregations and ministry partners have shown a strong resilience to continue to be in ministry in the places where they are called to serve. Our presbytery has also remained resilient as we have stewarded all that God has entrusted into our care.
This year, we adopted the following to guide our actions in the future:
“The mission of the POJ is to support leaders, congregations, and ministries in growing followers of Jesus Christ who joyfully live out God’s mission in the world.”
Along with this mission, we are embarking on an exciting new way of caring for one another in our combined ministries, with the eventual hiring of three presbyters.
Your Covenant With Us
Your covenant with the Presbytery of the James is an opportunity to tell us how you would specifically like to share in the mission and vision of the presbytery in 2022.
Support of the ministries of the presbytery, the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, and the General Assembly with your financial gifts as well as your prayers and service are vital to the ministry God has entrusted to us.
We invite you to send your 2022 Covenant to the presbytery office by January 31.
