This is a chance to make a tangible difference. DESCRIPTION:The POJ Leadership Connection Team is pleased to offer a new four-week course\, Presbyterian Polity 101\, designed for newly elected elders and deacons. \nVisit https://presbyteryofthejames.com/2024/02/10/training-events/ to register. \nCOURSE DETAILS \nFormat: Four weekly\, one-hour sessions held via Zoom. \nCurriculum: Spiritual leadership\, congregations & meetings\, ordered ministries\, and the Four Councils of the PCUSA. Each session includes a handout with practical questions and scenarios. \nInstructor: Carson Rhyne\, Instructor in Presbyterian Polity at Union Presbyterian Seminary for 20 years. \nSCHEDULE & REGISTRATION \nParticipants May Choose One Session: \nTuesdays: 7:30-8:30 PM on October 28\, November 4\, 11\, and 18 \nThursdays: 7:30-8:30 PM on October 30\, November 6\, 13\, and 20 \nCost: $50 per congregation (covers unlimited participants from one church). \nClass Cap: Each session is limited to 24 participants. \nREGISTER BELOW BY OCT. 22 \nBe sure to register participants from your church by Oct. 22.
